Transportation Services for Seniors and People with Disabilities

Dial-a-Ride: The GBT Access Service Bus provides public bus transportation to riders with disabilities through[1]out the Fairfield/Stratford/Bridgeport/Trumbull region to access jobs, school, shopping and medical appointments. The bus serves ¾ of a mile around all GBT bus routes. The one-way trip fare is $3.50. Contact GBT Access at 203-333-3031 ext. 131 for eligibility

Senior Transportation: The Town maintains a fleet of five buses, all of which are equipped with wheelchair lifts. The buses are driven by careful, courteous, experienced drivers. Buses are often used to pick up seniors, transport them to the Bigelow Center for Senior Activities, and return them home in the afternoon. Buses can used to take those with demonstrated need to local supermarkets, the main branch of the Public Library, and to scheduled doctor appointments. There is a very modest fee for each trip.
