Description
The Police and Fire Retirement board are trustees of the retirement fund created under the existing police and fire retirement system for regular police officers and firefighters employed by the town. The Board has full control and management of that fund with the power to invest and reinvest in accordance with general statutes governing the investment of trust funds.
Powers and Duties
The Police and Fire Retirement Board is responsible for assuring that the administration of the retirement plan remains in strict accordance with plan documents.
