Function
The mission of the Burr Gardens Advisory Committee (BGAC), established in 2011, is to create a beautiful public open space at the historic Burr Homestead Gardens. The BGAC protects, maintains and improves the four acre property of the Burr Homestead located in the heart of Fairfield's Old Post Road Historic District.
Meetings
The Burr Gardens Advisory Committee usually meets the third Thursday of the month at 10:00 am in Sullivan Independence Hall. The meetings are open to the public. All schedules and locations are subject to change. Please check the Town Meetings Calendar for cancellations or location changes.

Powers and Duties
Duties include:
- Developing and recommending a master plan
- Setting goals for the garden's improvements
- Soliciting private financial support
- Consulting on alterations to the master plan
- Working with the Public Works and other relevant Town departments
- Consulting and working with the Historic District Commission and the Fairfield Museum and History Center
