In an effort to reduce the contamination of Fairfield's recycling steam and accompanying added costs, the Solid Waste Committee, with help from the Sustainable Fairfield Task Force, has developed a Recycling Sticker of what IS and IS NOT permitted to be placed in recycling bins.

We have reached out to our residential haulers to help us with the dissemination of the attached stickers. Residents may start seeing the stickers affixed to the top of their recycling containers. We would like to stress that plastic bags of any kind are NOT permitted; place recyclables loose, in your bins.
