First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick announced today that the Town of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Sustainable Fairfield Task Force, will co-sponsor a “Shop, Stroll and Love Local this Spring” event on Thursday, April 22, 2021.
Coinciding with Earth Day, participating shops in downtown Fairfield will be open starting 10 am through 9 pm, offering patrons a fun and relaxing time to browse, shop and truly Love Local with a variety of spring celebratory promotions. The combination of Love Local and Earth Day is a unique opportunity for participating retailers and restaurants to offer giveaways and prizes that will make this year’s event one not to be missed. All COVID-19 measures will be in place, with masks and social distancing required.
First Selectwoman Kupchick stated, “This is a great opportunity to celebrate the arrival of spring, support our local businesses and enjoy all that our wonderful Town has to offer.”
Beverly Balaz, President of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce added, “The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is happy to be partnering with the Town on this event as it gives our merchants another opportunity to open their doors to the community, meet new customers and provide a great shopping experience!”
