2015 MRC Annual Education Session and Appreciation Dinner on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015
Our keynote Speaker will be Mike Syrax, FBI Special Agent/Assistant Weapons of Mass Destruction(WMD) Coordinator here in CT. Mike is an engaging and entertaining speaker who will be presenting an “Introduction to WMD Incident Assessment and Response”. Using examples from CT and beyond he will provide an understanding of what WMD incidents are, how they are evaluated, investigated, the interagency response required for the successful resolution and the potential roles for volunteers.
In addition to the dinner on us and a great keynote speaker, the evening will conclude with an awards ceremony for our members. We have combed through our records and even surveyed members last spring to ensure we recognize the many ways in which you have served through the numerous volunteer opportunities that have occurred over the last 9 years. Whether it was training sessions, exercises or real events like Smallpox Vaccinator Training, the 2006 Mass Dispensing Drills, Flu Clinic Vaccination Exercises, Hurricanes Irene and Sandy shelters and dispensing sites to the many other opportunities, we want to recognize your efforts. The will be several members recognized with special awards for their outstanding efforts.
So please attend this special night where we will recognize you. There will be something special for everyone who attends and even a few great raffle items.
