1/9/2019 - National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Proclaimed in Town of Fairfield

In honor and recognition of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day which is today, Wednesday, January 9, 2019, First Selectman Mike Tetreau issued a proclamation to Acting
Police Chief Chris Lyddy at the Police Department on Reef Road.

Several police officers and administrative staff were on hand to hear the proclamation being read. The First Selectman expressed his gratitude and appreciation for all the heroic difficult tasks our police handle 24/7 to keep residents safe. He stressed that National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day shouldn’t just be recognized today; it should be recognized every day.

First Selectman Tetreau also highlighted in his proclamation that residents, including children, can show their appreciation to Fairfield’s police officers any day of the year by sending emails to the attention of Officer Robert Kalamaras at rkalamaras@fairfieldct.org; mailing or dropping off written correspondence to Police Chief Chris Lyddy, Fairfield Police Department, 100 Reef Road, Fairfield, CT 06824; or using #NationalLawEnforcementAppreciationDay to share on social media.

Acting Police Chief Chris Lyddy and Captain Don Smith also thanked all of the officers and support staff for their tremendous public service.
