Fairfield CARES Community Coalition
The Town Resource For Healthy Choices
As we reflect on the past year that brought developments, stressors and changes we never imagined, we think with gratitude about our many wonderful partners in the community who make prevention a priority in Fairfield. Thank you for all that you do to strengthen our town and support our young people.
Our strongest allies and supporters are Fairfield parents. We are thankful to the many parents active in the coalition, and we are always looking for parents to join as members and become as involved with Fairfield CARES as works best for them. Sign up at tinyURL.com/fairfieldCARES.
Meet our prevention intern Livy in this video and hear what our youth committee is planning. We continue to welcome new members to this
year's Fairfield CARES Youth Committee. Please encourage high school
students residing in Fairfield to join. Just e-mail our coalition coordinator Cathy
We are still adding participants to our upcoming parent and youth focus groups. Check here for details. Thank you to all who already registered.
In recent weeks, we embarked on a prevention campaign with our local merchants, 'Let's #MentionPrevention'. The enthusiastic response we received has been energizing. Read all about the project, see who joined in the effort and find additional resources here.
We are grateful for the wellspring of expertise and resources provided by our partners in prevention, Positive Directions and The HUB. Consider subscribing to their newsletters.
Our strong and lasting relationships with the Town of Fairfield, the Fairfield Public Schools, the Fairfield Health Department, the Fairfield Police and Departments, Fairfield Parks and Recreation, the Fairfield Public Library, Fairfield Social Services, the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, and the Fairfield Office of Economic Development, as well as our town's universities and youth serving organizations such as Wakeman Boys and Girls Club sustain our coalition every day.
While our Thanksgiving celebrations will look very different from past years, and gatherings will be virtual rather than in person, our gratitude for you and our community has never been more heartfelt.
