11/28/2019 - Fairfield CARES News -- Happy Thanksgiving

Fairfield CARES Community Coalition
The Town Resource For Healthy Choices

Dear Friends,

During this season of Giving Thanks, we would like to acknowledge our many wonderful partners in the community who make Prevention a Priority in Fairfield. Thank you for all that you do to strengthen our town and support our young people.

Please mark your calendar for a special and open to the public event with John Trautwein from the Will To Live Foundation hosted by Sacred Heart University at the Edgerton Center for Performing Arts on December 4th at 7 p.m. Leveraging the Positive Power of Peer Networks is co-sponsored by Positive Directions, My Friend Abby, Webster Bank and Alpha Tau Omega.

Our strongest allies and supporters are Fairfield parents, and we are always looking for parents to join as coalition members and become as involved with Fairfield CARES as they would like.

We continue to accept new members to this year's Fairfield CARES Youth Committee. Please encourage high school students residing in Fairfield to apply. The flyer can be found here, and the application can be downloaded using this link. We are also looking for a young adult residing in Fairfield who would be interested in the position of Youth Peer Advocate (this is a paid position). The job description and application can be downloaded here.

Our Social Norms Campaign continues this holiday season with social media messages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Please help us increase their reach by liking and sharing our posts.

Thank you for making prevention a priority in Fairfield.
