Support Fairfield CARES Community Coalition as we walk to fight suicide in the Fairfield County Out of the Darkness Walk .

YES! The Fairfield County Out of the Darkness Experience is a real walk, but, because we cannot gather in person in a traditional walk as in past years, this year we encourage you to walk on your terms:

You get to choose your own course, what time you start, and who walks next to you (within social distancing guidelines)! The walking is real—it's the community that's virtual this year.

PLEASE WALK ANY DAY OF YOUR CHOOSING BEFORE NOVEMBER 7th and send your photos and videos to mpeters@afsp.org so that they can be included in the CLOSING CELEBRATION ZOOM on NOVEMBER 7th.

When posting on social media, please use the tags #AFSPCT #OOTDFAIRFIELDCOUNTY #CTTOGETHERTOFIGHTSUICIDE.

We are joining the community of nearly 350k people walking in hundreds of cities across the country in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.

Fairfield CARES is the designated prevention council for the town of Fairfield. Please register to walk with our team to learn more about the work of the coalition and to join us in our support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to help bring the issues of suicide and mental health conditions out of the darkness and create a culture that's smart about mental health.

Please join our virtual walk team or help us reach our fundraising goal by donating to a team member. To donate online, please select "Roster" and then choose one of the team members listed. Once you're on their page, click "Donate Now." Donations can only be made to individuals, but the total each participant raises goes toward our team goal.

All donations are 100% tax deductible and will help bring AFSP one step closer to achieving their bold goal to reduce the suicide rate 20% by 2025.

Thank you!
