Fire - Medical - Emergency
The Fairfield Police and Fire Departments respond to thousands of emergencies and calls for service each year and exist to protect and ensure the safety of Fairfield's residents and visitors. The Police and Fire Departments work around the clock to serve a community with more than 32 miles of residential, commercial and industrial properties, over five miles of shoreline, two college campuses and more than 59,000 residents. The Emergency Communications Center (ECC) handles more than 100,000 emergency calls annually.
An informed, involved and engaged community remains the number one resource to ensure the safety of our Residents and Visitors. Fairfield uses CodeRED to communicate with residents in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. Examples include: evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, and missing child reports. Please sign up to get CodeRED Alerts here.
