3/1/2019 - Wings Over Water Swim School Celebrates 8th Anniversary Milestone
The Fairfield Department of Community & Economic Development is pleased to congratulate Wings Over Water Swimming School on its 8th anniversary milestone. Earlier this week, Fairfield Chief of Staff Nancy Carberry officiated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the occasion, along with Fairfield Chamber of Commerce President Beverly Balaz as well as members of the Wings staff and general public.
Founder and owner Edie Flood has been teaching for over 30 years and is the creator of the unique swim program, known as the Swimplicity curriculum. Eight years ago, Edie designed, created and opened the Fairfield location at 2221 Black Rock Turnpike. Originally starting with only a cement storage area, the vacant space was beautifully transformed into the beautiful place that all ages can enjoy.
In addition to its Fairfield location, Wings Over Water Swimming School is also located in Brewster, NY, which is celebrating its 18th year in business. The Town of Fairfield Department of Community & Economic Development wishes Edie and her dedicated team many more years of success.
