Fishing licenses can be obtained at the CT Department of Environmental Protection website (with a credit card) or in the Town Clerk's Office (cash or check only).
An Inland (fresh water) License is $28.
A Marine (salt water) License is $10.
A Combination Inland/Marine Fishing license is $32.
Add the Trout and Salmon Stamp to the Inland Fishing License for $5.
Firearms/Bow Hunting/Trapping
A Hunter Safety Course (offered through the State of Connecticut DEEP, Wildlife Division*) must be completed before a license can be issued. For more information contact Franklin WMA at 860-642-7239. Courses are free; registration is limited.
A Firearms Hunting License is $19.
Trapping License Fee is $34.
A Combination All-Water-Fishing/Firearms license fee is available for $40.
