First Selectman Mike Tetreau announced today that the Town of Fairfield and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce will again co-sponsor the Fairfield Sidewalk Sale & Street Fair Event which will be held, rain or shine, in Fairfield Center on Saturday, July 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Select merchants will offer a preview of sale merchandise beginning Thursday, July 16, 2015. Admission is free.

More than 50 Fairfield businesses are expected to participate in this year’s event, setting up stands and offering a variety of merchandise for sale along the Post Road from the Heritage Square Shopping Center to the Promenade at the Brick Walk. Interested merchants from other parts of Town will again have the opportunity to participate and reserve a space, subject to availability. For more information, please contact Mark Barnhart, Director of Community and Economic Development at (203) 256-3120.

Sherman Green will feature activities for children and families including an inflatable bounce house, face-painting and a balloon artist. This year’s event will also feature live musical entertainment at multiple venues scattered throughout the downtown. A full event line-up will be unveiled in the next several weeks.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Businesses interested in being a sponsor or vending at this year’s event should contact the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce at (203) 255-1011 or the Department of Community and Economic Development at (203) 256-3120.
