4/21/2015 - Medical Reserve Corps 5/20/15 Drive-Thru POD Info and Sign-up

THIS EVENT REGISTRATION PAGE IS FOR CURRENT FAIRFIELD-EASTON MRC MEMBERS ONLY - IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER

Dear Fairfield Easton MRC Members,

The Fairfield Health Department will be conducting a drive-through POD exercise on May 20th, 2015 at Jennings Beach in Fairfield.  During this important exercise we will carry out mass dispensing functions such as site set-up, registration, POD flow, screening, and medication dispensing.  This event will take place during the day between 8am and 4pm with hours varying upon role.

MRC Volunteers are needed to fill both medical and nonmedical roles for this exercise.  You may choose to participate for the full day (8am-4pm) as a POD worker, or you may participate during the afternoon as a mock patient by driving through the POD to receive “medication” anytime between (12 noon and 3pm)  For those who participate as POD workers, Just-in-Time Training will take place in the morning to prepare you for your role in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided for all POD workers.

To register to participate as either a POD worker or mock patient , click on this link and complete the registration survey:   https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/C3GBFKN

Please register no later than May 1st. Those who register will be contacted with information regarding their assigned time and role in the exercise.

The exercise will be held “rain or shine” unless severe weather creates an unsafe environment.  In that case, the alternate date for the exercise would be May 21.

We are very excited to be doing this drive-through POD exercise and look forward to your participation.  The drive-through POD setting will provide a unique opportunity for us to implement and test many aspects of mass dispensing and to identify our strengths as well as areas that present challenges.

Thank you!
