9/11/2017 - Urban Strength Club Opens New Location in Fairfield

The Town of Fairfield’s Office of Community and Economic Development is pleased to announce the opening of Urban Strength Club, a gym and fitness center located at 425 Kings Highway East. Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau joined owner Debbie O’Toole, State Representative Brenda Kupchick, as well as family, friends, and enthusiastic fans of the Club at a ribbon cutting ceremony this past Wednesday, September 6th, to celebrate the fitness center’s official grand opening.

Urban Strength Club (http://www.urbanstrengthclub.com/) is a fitness center offering group classes in strength training, yoga, Pilates, boot camps, and kickboxing. Owner Debbie O’Toole is joined by a team of experienced professionals that also offer personal training to clients at all levels of fitness. Class schedules and membership information can be found on the Club’s website.

Urban Strength Club owner Debbie O’Toole wants the gym to be about more than just fitness. “My goal is to create a supportive community that inspires, celebrates, and encourages members to be their best selves,” states Debbie. She attributes her success to the relationships she has formed with clients over the years. “Urban Strength Club will be a “gym of the people” where people can build strength, make friends, and have fun,” she says. Debbie shares her passion for fitness with her son, Michael Martire, who works at Urban Strength Club as a class instructor.

“It is truly inspirational to be in the company of entrepreneurs like Debbie, as small businesses like hers are the lifeblood of our community,” stated Community & Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart. We are thrilled to have Urban Strength Club as a member of Fairfield’s growing business community and we wish her many years of success,” he added.
