8/14/2017 - Grand Opening - Marsona Horan Salon

The Town of Fairfield’s Office of Community & Economic Development is delighted to announce the opening of Marsona Horan Salon, a full service salon located in the Fairfield Shopping Center (Bob’s Store Plaza) at 905 Post Road in Fairfield. Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau joined Director of Community & Economic Development Mark Barnhart, co-owners Tony and Marsona Horan and assembled family, friends and invited guests at a ribbon cutting ceremony this past Thursday to help celebrate the salon’s official grand opening.

Marsona Horan Salon (http://marsonahoransalon.com) is a full service salon offering its valued clients the finest in specialized hair cutting, shaping and styling along with multi-dimensional hair coloring, highlights and balayage. The salon, which is staffed by a team of experienced and talented stylists, also specializes in damage-repair therapies including Brazilian Blowout, Olaplex and keratin treatments. Marsona Horan Salon is open six days a week.

The creative inspiration and driving force behind the salon is, of course, its namesake, Marsona Horan. Marsona has traveled around the US and mastered numerous techniques from hair cutting and sculpting to meticulous color techniques. Her passion for the industry and the relationships she has built with her clients are what continues to motivate and inspire her. Marsona also attributes a lot of her success to her husband, Tony, for always believing in her and pushing her to follow her dream, and to her devoted staff, with whom she has had the pleasure of working for many years. The business is very much a family affair, as Tony also serves as the operations manager for the salon.

The location in the Bob’s Shopping Plaza is a bit of a homecoming for Marsona, as she worked for the former salon, The Salon of Fairfield, before venturing forth on her own. When her former employer contacted her and Tony with an opportunity to purchase the salon, they jumped at the chance. “It wasn’t really on our radar at that time, but this was an opportunity that we simply couldn’t pass up. We love this location, and are overjoyed by the warm welcome and response from the community thus far,” stated Marsona Horan. Commented Community & Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart, “We are thrilled to welcome Marsona Horan Salon to our ever-expanding Fairfield business community. Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, creating jobs and economic opportunities, and we are fortunate to have entrepreneurs like Tony and Marsona that are willing to take the plunge and parlay their dreams and aspirations into reality. We wish them many years of success in Fairfield,” he added.
