The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course provides individuals with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in five critical areas: leadership, safety and safe play, basic care, first aid, and professionalism. Class time includes practicing how to feed an infant a bottle, how to pick up and hold infants and how to change their diapers. Participants also practice being the victim and rescuer in an emergency situation and scenarios are created to enable participants to make quick decisions. Group discussions and class activities make this an informative interactive class.

A course completion card will be issued. Participants must attend both weeks consecutively to qualify for certification. No refunds or transfers once the first class begins.
