The Office of Community & Economic Development is accepting public comments through close of business on December 27, 2016, on its draft Program Year 41 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER). The CAPER summarizes activities undertaken by the Town of Fairfield during the prior program year (October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016) under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. This report is intended to provide an update on the status and accomplishments of projects supported by CDBG funds and to describe the extent to which these activities are meeting the needs of Fairfield residents as identified in the Town’s Five Year Plan.
The Town of Fairfield receives funding annually from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) through the CDBG Program. The primary purpose of the CDBG program is to create viable communities through the provision of decent affordable housing, a suitable living environment and expanded economic opportunities, primarily aimed at persons and/or areas of low/moderate income. Questions or comments regarding the CAPER may be referred to the Office of Community and Economic Development at (203) 256-3120 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
