5/22/2015 - Town to Conduct Public Hearing on Proposed Block Grant Allocation Plan

The Office of Community & Economic Development will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 beginning at 6:00PM in the Second Floor Conference Room of the Old Town Hall, located at 611 Old Post Road in Fairfield, concerning its proposed allocation plan for Program Year 41 of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.  The Town is a recipient of federal funds under the Community Development Block Grant Program, and is required to conduct a public hearing in accordance with its Citizen Participation Plan.  The purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comments on those applications received and proposed for funding for the upcoming program year, which begins on October 1, 2015.  The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, which administers the CDBG Program, has informed the Town that it can expect to receive $460,148 in federal CDBG funds for the upcoming year.  For more information about projects or activities proposed for funding, click here
